Get information about assigned power capacity

Hi,

we are in the process of updating a PowerEdge R720 server with new components. After installing additional RAM modules, the system is warning at startup that it may not have enough power capacity to meet the demands.

I understand that the firmware is doing an inventory of all components and estimating the total power requirements. I am also not surprised about the PSU limit being reached: in the years we have already installed other components, including multiple hard drives.

By using iDRAC I can get a reading of the current power drain. Is it possible to also know how the firmware is distributing the maximum power capacity among components?

I have tried using the ESSA tool, but it is giving me only raw figures. It would be way better to obtain a report of the actual watt figures that the firmware is assuming, split by component (RAM, HDD, etc.).

Thanks for help.
